Subscription Terms

These Subscription Terms (the “Subscription Terms”) govern the purchase, activation, renewal, management, and cancellation of any paid subscription plan (“Subscription”) offered by Tropic Innovation Private Limited ("Taichiroutine," "gentleFit," "we," "our," or "us") through our websites (collectively, the “Sites”) — including but not limited to www.taichiroutine.com and any successor or related domains we may operate from time to time — and our mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”).
These Subscription Terms form part of, and supplement, our Terms of Service (the “TOS”) and are incorporated therein by reference. In the event of a conflict between these Subscription Terms and the TOS, these Subscription Terms prevail solely with respect to Subscription-specific matters. Capitalised terms not defined herein have the meanings given in the TOS.
IMPORTANT: YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AT THE END OF EACH BILLING CYCLE AND YOUR PAYMENT METHOD ON FILE WILL BE CHARGED THE THEN-CURRENT RATE (PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES) UNLESS YOU CANCEL IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 6 BELOW.
1. Subscription Plans
1.1 Plan Types
- Weekly Plan: 1-week access, billed every week.
- Monthly Plan: 1-month access, billed every month.
- Quarterly Plan: 3-month access, billed every 3 months.
- Half-Yearly Plan: 6-month access, billed every 6 months.
- Annual Plan: 12-month access, billed every 12 months.
From time to time we may introduce additional Plans or retire existing ones. Current pricing and plan features are displayed at checkout or in-app prior to purchase.
1.2 Scope of Access
An active Subscription grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the specific digital content, services, or features designated for your Plan at the time of purchase, which may include premium content, personalised coaching, progress-tracking tools, or other subscriber-only benefits.
1.3 Eligibility
You must have a valid taichiroutine.com account and be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase a Subscription. Minors aged 13–17 may subscribe only with verifiable parental or guardian consent and supervision.
2. Free Trials & Introductory Promotions
2.1 Free Trials
We or our distribution partners may offer a one-time free trial period (“Free Trial”) to new or eligible returning users. The length of the Free Trial is stated during sign-up. Unless you cancel before the Free Trial ends, your Subscription will automatically convert to a paid Plan and your payment method will be charged the full recurring fee on the first day after the Free Trial.
2.2 Introductory Discounts
Promotional or “first-period” pricing is valid only for the time stated. At the end of the promotional period your Subscription renews at the standard rate unless you cancel.
2.3 Restrictions
We reserve the right to determine eligibility for Free Trials and promotions and may revoke or modify them at any time without prior notice.
3. Billing & Payment
3.1 Payment Method
When you purchase a Subscription you must provide a valid payment method (credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Play, PayPal, or other methods we support). You authorise us (or our third-party payment processor) to charge the applicable fees and taxes to this method at purchase and on each renewal.
3.2 Billing Cycle
Your initial charge occurs on the date you subscribe (or, for Free Trials, the day after the trial ends). Your Subscription then renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. Renewal dates appear in your account settings or the receipt email.
3.3 Currency & Taxes
All prices are displayed in the currency specified at checkout. Where required by law, we collect VAT/GST or other taxes, which will appear as a separate line item on your receipt.
3.4 Failed Payments
If a renewal charge fails, we may retry the payment or suspend your Subscription until payment succeeds. You remain responsible for any amounts not successfully collected.
3.5 Chargebacks & Disputes
Filing an unjustified chargeback or payment dispute may result in immediate termination of access and account suspension. Please contact support@tropicinnovation.com before disputing a charge—we can usually resolve issues quickly.
4. Purchases via Third-Party Platforms
4.1 Apple App Store / Google Play
If you purchased a Subscription through Apple or Google, that platform (not us) handles billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. The terms of Apple Media Services or Google Play govern your purchase and you must manage your Subscription in your device settings.
4.2 Web Purchases
Subscriptions purchased via our Sites are billed directly by Tropic Innovation or our payment partner. Cancellation and refund requests for web purchases must be submitted through your taichiroutine.com account dashboard or by emailing customer support.
5. Price Changes
We may change Subscription pricing at any time. For existing subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days’ prior notice by email or in-app message. If you do not agree to the new price you may cancel before the change takes effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
6. Cancellation & Termination
6.1 How to Cancel
- Web Purchases: Log in at taichiroutine.com/my-account → Subscriptions → Cancel Subscription.
- Apple App Store: Open iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → select Tai chi & workout: Gentlefit → Cancel.
- Google Play: Open Google Play Store → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions → select Tai Chi & Chair Yoga at Home → Cancel.
6.2 Effective Date of Cancellation
Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain subscriber access until that date and will not be charged again.
6.3 Refund Policy
All fees are non-refundable and non-creditable, except where (i) mandatory law provides a right of withdrawal (see Section 7), (ii) your local marketplace rules require a refund, or (iii) we, at our sole discretion, decide to issue a courtesy refund.
6.4 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your Subscription immediately if you materially breach these Subscription Terms or the TOS, fail to pay fees, or engage in fraudulent or abusive activity. No refund is owed in such cases.
7. Right of Withdrawal (EU/UK Consumers)
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or United Kingdom and purchased a Subscription directly through one of our Sites, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. However, if you access any paid content or features during the 14-day period you acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw and are liable for full payment. To exercise the right of withdrawal, email support@tropicinnovation.com with your order details.
8. Promotional Codes, Gift Cards & Group Plans
8.1 Promo Codes
Promotional codes or coupons apply only to the specified Plan and period, are non-transferable, and have no cash value. If a promo code provides a discounted first period, standard pricing applies thereafter.
8.2 Gift Cards
Gift card amounts are applied as credit to the recipient’s taichiroutine account and are non-refundable. If the Subscription price exceeds the gift-card balance, the user must provide a payment method for the remaining amount.
8.3 Corporate & Family Plans
If you subscribe under a corporate wellness or family plan, additional terms supplied by the sponsoring organisation may apply. The sponsoring party—not Tropic Innovation—is responsible for payment.
9. Modifications to Subscription Terms
We may modify these Subscription Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 15 days before they become effective, unless a shorter period is required by law. Continued use of your Subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Subscription Terms.
